Friday Feelings

I feel:

Jaded and Disheartened

Today's post is brought to you by the letter H.

It's been quite a week in New York. Just when I thought I would scream if I had to watch one more game of tug of war between Hillary and Barack and the Democrat self-destruct machine...a Democrat I didn't expect to see in the news had a new lesson in the word HUBRIS.

"Hubris or hybris (Greek ὕβρις), according to its modern usage, is exaggerated self pride, arrogance or self-confidence (overbearing pride), often resulting in fatal retribution. In Ancient Greece, "hubris" referred to actions taken in order to shame and humiliate the victim, thereby making oneself seem superior."

Although I must admit the comedians and journalists struck gold with this story. The Top 10 lists on Letterman have never been better. The Daily Show and Colbert Report made me spit out my drink - almost through my nose.

And this week's favorite newspaper Headlines?

I thought you were different Mr. Spitzer. I thought you were not of the political machine. I thought you couldn't be bought or corrupted. Apparently you were doing your own buying and corrupting.

You Hedonistic S.O.B.

You Hypocrit of the Century.

Just remember that Hell Hath No Fury Like a Woman Scorned.

Mrs. Spitzer - Have at it.

Have to agree with you - it's a hot mess.

I keep reading and hearing that his career is over, but this is a career boost or jumpstart for hers (she's an aspiring musician). Ummm, why? Because you had SEX with someone? Wow.

I couldn't agree with you more. What a sleazy mess this is. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes when his wife decides how she's going to handle all of this.

Ho No is my favorite. What a lucky break for the media. For the Spitzers not so much. Maybe Britney will get a break.

Oh my God: you could be on Sixty Minutes. Hubris is all it is. I hope his wife (and three daughters) flee.

He's a Heel.

He doesn't deserve his wife or his children, and they should leave him in the dust.

What a very difficult situation for this family. I believe Mrs. Spitzer should seek a divorce, for he engaged in sexual activities with a prostitute. He didn't even think of the diseases he might of given his wife. Even though I'm in a mess because of an affair I engaged in, I still think his wife should leave him. He does not respect her, his children, or the law. Plain and simple, he broke his marriage vows and the law. I hope he at loses his right to practice law. But it doesn't matter, because he's a multi-millionare. You're right...what HUBRIS!!!
